NEW YORK, March 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Terence "Tom" Henricks, a former NASA
astronaut and senior executive with Textron Inc., has been appointed
president, McGraw-Hill Aerospace & Defense (MHA&D), effective April 3rd. He
succeeds Kenneth Gazzola, who will retire at the end of the year, following a
distinguished 18 year career.
"Tom brings a wealth of experience and deep industry knowledge to this
position," said Glenn Goldberg, president of The McGraw-Hill Companies'

leading McGraw-Hill Aerospace & Defense."
A Six Sigma Black Belt with key industry and government experience, Mr.
Henricks previously led government business development for Textron's Bell
Helicopter Division. During his time with Textron, Mr. Henricks was also
assigned to Boeing as deputy director of the V-22 program, a Bell Boeing Joint
Venture.
Mr. Henricks spent more than a decade with NASA and participated in space
shuttle missions as both a pilot and a commander. Before joining NASA, Mr.
Henricks served as an F-16 test pilot and F-4 fighter pilot in the U.S. Air
Force.
Born in Bryan, Ohio, Mr. Henricks received a B.S. in civil engineering
from the U.S. Air Force Academy and a M.A. in Public Administration from
Golden Gate University. He has earned numerous accolades, including the NASA
Outstanding Leadership Medal, the Distinguished Flying Cross, and honorary
doctorate from Defiance and Heidelberg College, and a space in the Ohio
Veterans Hall of Fame.
