The McGraw-Hill Companies Schedules Second Quarter 2006 Earnings Announcement/Conference Call for Tuesday, July 25, 2006

NEW YORK, July 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- The McGraw-Hill Companies (NYSE: MHP) announced today that its second quarter 2006 results will be released before the start of NYSE trading on Tuesday, July 25, 2006.

At 8:30 AM Eastern Time, following the earnings announcement, the Corporation's senior management will host a conference call to discuss the results. The call will be open to all interested parties and will also be available by Webcast. Discussions may include forward-looking information. Additional information presented during the conference call may be made available on the Investor Presentations page of the Corporation's Investor Relations Website at http://www.mcgraw-hill.com/investor_relations.

After the conference call, a recorded replay will be available within approximately two hours and will remain available by telephone and the Internet for seven days. The prepared remarks and slides will also be available for downloading from the Investor Relations Website's Investor Presentations archive several hours later.
